Impressive presentation of the new German stamps “For young people” on the theme of music<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The \u2018For young people\u2019 stamps feature record covers

\nThere could not have been a more fitting venue than the Rock\u2019n\u2019Pop Museum in Gronau for this year\u2019s presentation of the special-issue postage stamps \u2018For young people: Record Covers\u2019. Rudolf Wagner was fortunate enough to receive an invitation to Gronau, the birthplace of Udo Lindenberg. This is because, amongst other things, the series pays tribute to his efforts to promote peace.<\/center><\/div><\/div>

\nFrank Bartsch, appointed \u2018Privy Councillor\u2019 by Udo Lindenberg, playfully subverted the numerical order of the postage stamps and placed Udo Lindenberg at the centre of attention, thereby also paying tribute to his efforts towards peace.
\nProceeds from these supplementary stamps \u2013 \u2018Buy, stick on and collect stamps, and do some good in the process\u2019 (State Secretary Michael Brand) \u2013 go towards children\u2019s and youth welfare projects. \u201cPeace, freedom and social engagement\u201d were key themes in the speeches given by the official guests regarding the peace-promoting and socially inclusive themes of the selected records, as well as the children\u2019s and youth welfare projects of the \u201eStiftung Deutsche Jugendmarke\u201c.<\/center><\/div><\/div><\/div>

\nOne of these projects proved to be the most impressive highlight of the event: Dennis Buss, a musician, rapper and workshop leader, works with educational institutions and runs workshops at cultural venues and youth centres. Today, to thunderous applause, he presented his composition and his project \u2018Kinderaugen\u2019 together with a group of children and young people. Anyone who owns a stamp from the special series \u2018For Young People: Record Covers\u2019 can use the QR code to listen to and watch the audio and video recording of this performance.<\/center><\/div><\/div>
