The stamp is based on a 2009 photograph by Lou Bopp showing the hands and guitar of the blues musician Jimmy \u2018Duck\u2019 Holmes. The stamp was designed by Greg Breeding, who is therefore awarded the 2018 Yehudi-Menuhin-Trophy.<br \/>\nGreg Breeding studied design and typography at Virginia Commonwealth University, graduating with a bachelor\u2019s degree in fine arts. He began his career as a designer for several non-profit organizations. In 1992 he co-founded the design agency Journey Group, where he works as creative director. In addition to his work as a designer he gives classes for non-profit organizations. Greg Breeding has already won several awards. He designed his first stamp for the US Postal Service in 2012.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<div class=\"gdc_row\"><div class=\"gdc_column gdc_cthird\"><div class=\"gdc_inner\"><br \/>\n<center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.motivgruppe-musik.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Ungarn-2017-1m.jpg\" width=\"180\" class=\"alignnone\" \/><br \/>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"gdc_column gdc_ctwo-thirds\"><div class=\"gdc_inner\"><br \/>\nSecond place was reached by the Hungarian stamp for the 450th birthday of Claudio Monteverdi (Hungary 6.3.2017), designed by Istv\u00e1n Orosz.<br \/>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><br \/>\n<div class=\"gdc_row\"><div class=\"gdc_column gdc_cthird\"><div class=\"gdc_inner\"><br \/>\n<center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.motivgruppe-musik.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/frankreich-2017-2m.jpg\" width=\"180\" class=\"alignnone\" \/><br \/>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"gdc_column gdc_ctwo-thirds\"><div class=\"gdc_inner\"><br \/>\nThe French issue for the \u2018F\u00eate du Timbre\u2019 2017, featuring the Edgar Degas painting \u201cL\u2019Etoile\u201d (The Star) reached the third place.
