After studying in Barcelona and Milan and she made her debut in 1956 in Basel and was sung until 1965 among others in Saarbruecken and Bremen. In 1965, she wowed the audience on behalf of Marilyn Horne at Carnegie Hall and debuted in the same year at the Metropolitan Opera in New York. Montserrat Caball\u00e9 was a frequent guest at festivals and also often appeared as a concert singer.<div class=\"gdc_row\"><div class=\"gdc_column gdc_cthird\"><div class=\"gdc_inner\"><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.motivgruppe-musik.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Montserrat-3.jpg\"  width=\"150\" class=\"alignnone\" \/><br \/>\n<strong>Mali 1.6.1998<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"gdc_column gdc_ctwo-thirds\"><div class=\"gdc_inner\"><br \/>\nThe focus of her repertoire was on the operas of Rossini, Donizetti, and Bellini but also Verdi and Puccini. Characteristics of her lyrical voice was the sensual beauty and an extraordinary piano.
