The latter quality was surely the decisive factor that made 99 collectors from 26 countries choose the Austrian issue for the 100th birth anniversary of Leonard Bernstein as the most popular music stamp of 2018 (Austria 6.7.2018, Michel 3418). The stamp was designed by Regina Simon on the basis of a photo of Paul de Hueck. Regina Simon, who has designed more than 30 stamps for Austrian Post since 2014, will now be awarded the 2019 Yehudi Menuhin Trophy for her Bernstein stamp.<br \/>\nFor 2018, 66 stamps from 54 postal administrations were available. With this year&#8217;s award, Austrian Post can celebrate its sixth win in the annual competition for the \u201cMost Popular Music Stamp\u201d, which has been held since 1980.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<div class=\"gdc_row\"><div class=\"gdc_column gdc_cthird\"><div class=\"gdc_inner\"><br \/>\n<center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.motivgruppe-musik.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/platz-2-Ungarn-bernstein.jpg\" width=\"175\" height=\"236\" class=\"alignnone\" \/><br \/>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"gdc_column gdc_ctwo-thirds\"><div class=\"gdc_inner\"><br \/>\nSecond place in the voting also went to a Leonard Bernstein stamp, the Hungarian issue designed by P\u00e9ter Nagy, which was chosen by 83 collectors (Hungary 2.3.2018, Michel 5943).<br \/>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><br \/>\n<div class=\"gdc_row\"><div class=\"gdc_column gdc_cthird\"><div class=\"gdc_inner\"><br \/>\n<center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.motivgruppe-musik.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/platz-3-USA-lennon.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"236\" height=\"236\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-14353\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.motivgruppe-musik.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/platz-3-USA-lennon.jpg 236w, https:\/\/www.motivgruppe-musik.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/platz-3-USA-lennon-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 236px) 100vw, 236px\" \/><br \/>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"gdc_column gdc_ctwo-thirds\"><div class=\"gdc_inner\"><br \/>\nThird place was for the stamp showing singer-songwriter John Lennon in the American \u2018Music Icons\u2019 series (USA 7.9.2018).
