The ensemble was founded in 1948 by Nadezhda Sergeyevna Nadjeschdina (1908-1979), who was a ballerina at the Bolshoi Ballet 1925-1934 and worked from 1934 to 1948 with amateur dance groups in different cities of Russia. For the Amateur Art Festival 1948 in Moscow, she created the choreography &#8220;Beryozka khorovod&#8221; (Birch round dance) for the dance group from Kalinin.<br \/>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"gdc_column gdc_cthird\"><div class=\"gdc_inner\"><br \/>\n<center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.motivgruppe-musik.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/201711-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" class=\"alignnone\" \/><br \/>\n<strong>Russia 26.10.2017<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"gdc_row\"><div class=\"gdc_column gdc_cthird\"><div class=\"gdc_inner\"><br \/>\n<center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.motivgruppe-musik.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/201711-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"233\" height=\"176\" class=\"alignnone\" \/><br \/>\n<strong>India 26.10.2017<\/strong><\/center><br \/>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"gdc_column gdc_ctwo-thirds\"><div class=\"gdc_inner\"><br \/>\nShe was inspired to do so by a ritual spring round dance for unmarried girls, which was known as the &#8216;birch worship&#8217;.
