On March 18, one of the key drivers of the Beat Music died at the age of 91 years: Charles Edward Anderson “Chuck” Berry. He was born on October 18, 1926 in St. Louis, Missouri. His idols were Nat King Cole, Louis Jordan and Muddy Waters. As a singer, guitarist, and composer, he was a pioneer of the rock ‘n’ roll. 1985 Chuck Berry was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame and in 1986 he was the first member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
